Fashion photography, Milan and worldwide
Fashion photography with an Italian eye
Campaign and editorial shoots produced in Milan or on location anywhere: photographer, art director, stylist, hair and make up, casting, studio, post production. Booked and run by one team.
A fashion photographer in Milan is easy to find. A finished campaign, on budget, with the rights in order and the images that actually sell the collection, is the service. That is what we produce.
Why a campaign made in Milan looks different
Photographers who shoot the fashion weeks
We select the photographer for the brand, not the other way round: campaign, editorial, street, still life, each has its specialists in Milan and we know who does what.
Art direction on set
Our art director builds the shot list and stays on set. Light, framing, styling and expression are decided with the collection in front of us, not fixed in a retouching room later.
Everything around the camera
Studio or location, permits, casting, stylist, hair and make up, catering, transport, insurance. The photographer shoots, we run the day.
Milan or anywhere
The same team travels. We have shot campaigns abroad with local crews selected by us and our direction on set, delivering the same standard as in Milan.
What fashion photography in Milan really involves
A fashion photographer in Milan is one line of the budget. The shoot that gets published, on time and with the rights in order, is the rest of the page.
The fashion photographer is chosen for the brand
There is no house photographer here. For each brand we select the professional whose eye matches the collection: campaign photographers who build an image in the studio with controlled light, editorial photographers who work with daylight and movement, still life specialists for accessories and details, street photographers for a label that lives outdoors. All of them work the Milan fashion weeks and the Italian magazines, and we know what each one does best. The brand sees a short list with recent work before the booking, and the art director explains why each name is on it.
Italian art direction on the shoot day
A fashion photoshoot in Milan with our team always has an art director on set. The shot list is written before the booking: how many looks, which frames per look, full length, three quarter, detail, movement, portrait. On the day the art director decides with the photographer how light, framing, styling and expression serve the collection, and the brand follows a live selection from the set, in the studio or remotely. Nothing important is left for the retouching room. This is what gives a smaller brand the consistency the big houses take for granted.
Studio, location and everything around the camera
Milan has daylight studios, cyclorama studios, industrial halls, palazzi, rooftops and courtyards within twenty minutes of each other, and the permits for the public ones are something we handle every month. The production around the camera includes studio hire, lighting and digital tech, stylist and assistants, hair and make up, casting and model contracts, catering, transport and insurance. The photographer shoots. We run the day, so the brand can stand next to the monitor and look at the pictures.
Editorial fashion shoots and campaign shoots are different jobs
A campaign shoot presents the season: controlled, repeatable, built to sell. An editorial fashion shoot tells a story and gives the brand a point of view that press and social can pick up. The two need different photographers, different casting and a different rhythm on the day. We produce both, often in the same week with the same collection, and we plan the ecommerce set and the lookbook around them so the whole season comes out of one production.
On location fashion photography anywhere
When the brand lives somewhere else, we go there. Our art director travels with the project and we select the photographer, the crew and the casting on location, in Europe, the Middle East, the Americas or Asia, keeping post production and the rights record in Milan. For brands that produce their collection with us in Italy, the samples arrive on set already fitted, and the campaign is shot by the same team that made the clothes.
What the service includes
Everything is produced and coordinated by our team in Milan. Nothing is left for you to book separately.
From brief to delivery, in weeks you can plan around
- Week 01Brief and budget
What the images have to do, where they will be used, and the range you can invest. We answer with a scope.
- Week 01 to 02Concept

- Week 02 to 03Booking
Photographer, crew, models, stylist, hair and make up, studio or location. Rights negotiated and signed.

- Week 04 to 05Post production and delivery
Retouched selects, colour graded, delivered by use with the rights record.

One contract, from the fabric to the picture
Riccitelli Milano is a production agency first. We develop and manufacture collections in Italy, and that changes how we shoot them.
The samples are in our hands weeks before the shoot, so fittings happen on the real garment and the art direction grows with the collection instead of arriving at the end. The same project manager follows production and campaign, the delivery dates are aligned, and you sign one agreement instead of five. For brands producing in Italy from abroad, this is the shortest path between the first sketch and the first sale.
The problems brands bring us
- Quality"The photographer was good but the pictures look like everyone else."
A photographer executes. The concept, styling, casting and the eye on set are what give a brand its own look, and that is the art direction we bring.
- Budget"Every quote I get is a day rate and nothing else is included."
Our scope covers the whole production: crew, models, styling, hair and make up, studio, post production. One number, agreed before the shoot.
- Rights"We used the pictures on a billboard and the agency sent a new invoice."
Usage rights by territory, channel and duration are negotiated before the shoot and written in the delivery record.
- Fit"The clothes did not fit the models and we lost half the day."
Fittings happen before the shoot day. When we also produce the collection, the samples are fitted in our ateliers weeks earlier.
- Distance"We are abroad and cannot be on set."
Live feed from the set, selects shared during the day, and a project manager who speaks your language. Or we come to you with a local crew.
